Vision, the future of home interiors

Home interiors is broken.
We are building the operating system that fixes it.

A short read on the industry, the category we are building, and why the platform for home interiors is inevitable. Written for the homeowner, the designer, the studio, the factory, and for anyone who wants to build this future with us.

Chapter 01

Home interiors is the largest unorganised industry in India.

Every year, millions of families move into new homes. Between the day the keys arrive and the day the family moves in, a hidden industry works around the clock, designers, studios, factories, site supervisors, procurement, accounts. This industry moves hundreds of thousands of crores, and almost none of it is connected. WhatsApp is the CRM. Excel is the ERP. Trust is the contract.

Chapter 02

Every existing solution solves one seam. None solve the whole.

AI render tools stop at the mood board. Estimator apps stop at the PDF. Studio ERPs stop at the studio door. Factory MRPs stop at the factory gate. The homeowner, who is paying for everything, sees none of it. The result is the same story every project: delays, cost overruns, mistrust, quality gaps, and a handover that arrives months late.

Chapter 03

The category that is missing is the operating system.

Not another tool. An operating system, a single connected substrate on which every stakeholder does their real work, in the same place, with the same source of truth. Dream → Design → Estimate → Approve → Build → Manufacture → Track → Pay → Move in. One platform. Not integrations bolted onto ten SaaS products, but a purpose-built spine for how homes actually get built.

Chapter 04

Why now.

Three forces converge for the first time. AI is finally good enough to compress design, cost and visualisation into minutes instead of weeks. Modular manufacturing is now the default for urban Indian homes, which means production data can flow from the factory to the site to the homeowner in real time. And the post-COVID homeowner expects the same transparency from their interiors that they get from a food delivery app. The category is inevitable. The question is only who builds it.

Chapter 05

What we are building.

A connected ecosystem where the homeowner is the centre, surrounded by their designer, their studio, the factory manufacturing their wardrobes, the site supervisor installing them, the accounts team invoicing them, and the marketplace supplying them. Every module of ikVerse.ai, AI Renders, Vastu Analyser, Price Estimator, Project Management, Production, Payments, Shop, exists only to prove one statement: that home interiors can happen on one platform.

Chapter 06

The long view.

If we succeed, ten years from now nobody will build a home interior on WhatsApp and Excel. They will build it on ikVerse.ai. Designers will publish their portfolios on it. Studios will run their businesses on it. Factories will receive their orders on it. Homeowners will approve, pay and move in on it. The operating system for home interiors will be as invisible and indispensable as the operating system for shipping, or payments, or search, and India will have built it first.

The operating system for home interiors.
From dream to handover, one connected platform.
